FAQ’S + DESIGN POLICIES

I value working with couples who want to bring out their unique story and personality in their wedding stationery. As a former bride myself, I know that wedding planning can get stressful and overwhelming. Below are a few things to note, to help make the design process as smooth and fun as possible!

 

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS


When should I start creating my wedding invitations?

I recommend getting in touch at least 5 months before your wedding date, the earlier, the better!

Invitations to guests are usually sent 6-8 weeks before the wedding.
Invitations for destination weddings are usually sent 2-3 months before the wedding.

How long does the invitation design process take?

The invitation design process takes approximately 3 weeks for semi-custom designs, and 8 weeks for fully custom designs. Once finalized, there will be an additional 1 week for printing and assembly before it is shipped to you. Shipping times are estimated at 1-3 weeks, depending on the destination.

How many invitations should I order?

Keep in mind that you may only need 1 invitation per couple/family. I recommend ordering 10-15% more than you think you need, for keepsakes and just in case of any last minute changes.


DESIGN POLICIES


Process

  • Once your order is received, a form will be sent to you to fill out all the details and information required for the invitation.

  • Once all required content has been received, a project timeline will be sent to you.

  • For semi-custom suites, 2 rounds of revisions are included for minor text and illustration changes. For fully custom suites, 3 rounds of revisions are included. Please note that we are not responsible for any incorrect spelling or information, please review all proofs carefully!

  • Additional revisions are charged at $75 per round.

  • Once we receive your final approval, your design is sent to the printer.

  • Please allow 5 business days for print production.

  • Please note that delayed client response will affect the timeline. Quirky Paper Co. will not be responsible for not meeting deadlines due to delayed client action or response.

Payment Schedule

  • All invoices will be sent to you via email. Payment is accepted by credit card.

  • Payment 1: A 50% deposit is due upon approval of your project quote and our design policies.

  • Payment 2: The remaining 50% is due once your digital proof is approved and ready to print.

  • Payment 3: Shipping is billed separately and will be charged to you after your items have shipped.

Refunds + Cancellations

  • If your deposit has been received, but no work has started on your project, you may request a refund on the deposit.

  • Because each item is customized for you and for your event, once work has begun on your project, all orders are final and non-refundable. However, it’s important to me that you’re happy with the final product, so please don’t hesitate to get in touch!

  • Please let us know if you would like to receive a sample prior to confirming your order to get a clear idea of what your final product will look like.

  • If there is an error with the text of the wording that was approved by the client, then the costs of reprinting will be covered by the client. If the error was made by Quirky Paper Co., the costs will be covered by Quirky Paper Co.


Shipping

While Quirky Paper Co. is not liable for lost, damaged or delayed shipments, I always want to ensure your items arrive safely! Your shipments will be shipped with tracking numbers. Please get in touch if you have not received your items in the estimated shipping time.

Rush orders

Rush orders are accepted depending on our availability and your preferred due date. If we are able to accommodate your due date, an additional 30% of your order total will be charged for rush fees.

Design property

All designs and concepts are property of Quirky Paper Co.

Quirky Paper Co. retains all rights to use the preliminary and completed designs and to showcase finished work on our website for portfolio purposes. We respect your privacy and will edit the text to not include your actual names and wedding details.
